The perinatologist came by to check on Christi and Savanna this morning at around 7:30 a.m. The doctor told Christi that she could stay on the antibiotics and magnesium indefinitely, and that she had mothers deliver full-term babies this way. This was very encouraging news!
She also had a brief sonogram and it appears that Savanna is tracing very well, still with a great heartbeat and appears to have gained several ounces since the beginning of the week. Christi is having a little difficulty breathing, which is a common side effect of the magnesium. I suggested this morning that she ask for some oxygen, it certainly couldn't hurt and may make her more comfortable. More later, but we just hope our news continues to be pretty boring!
